What does it mean if my Contract Hire agreement includes maintenance?

It simply means that you won’t have any surprise maintenance bills from the garage! 

Each lender will offer different maintenance packages and what’s included may vary between them. As a general rule, maintenance options include regular vehicle servicing, repairs (not including accidental damage), MOTs and tyres. Your lender will have a preferred supplier network that will work in line with the manufacturers’ recommended servicing intervals so you haven’t even got to worry about who to choose! 

Maintenance is an optional extra with most of our contracts, though we do have a small number of offers on the site where maintenance is included. If maintenance isn’t included in the offer for your vehicle of interest, please contact us and we will confirm the small increase in the payment and initial rental that would apply.

What isn’t included in a maintenance package?

This may also vary from lender to lender but your maintenance package is unlikely to include:

  • Routine top up of fluids, such as engine oil, washer fluid, etc.
  • Any repairs caused through accident damage, vandalism, misuse, theft, frost damage or fuel contamination 
  • Any repairs or replacements caused by driver error or negligence or by failure to keep to the manufacturers' agreed service intervals 
  • Windscreens or other window glass
